Pinwheel Tablerunner

Sue made this great project with the Drunkard's Path collection. She writes :

This is my new table runner. It will be given to the 150th Anniversary collection of stuff to be raffled off. Our church and another small church, share the same Pastor and this June marks 150 years of being joined.

The table runner was quilted on my longarm which just had a computer added to it. I am having so much fun trying all of the features......so this is my firstproject and not perfect quilting by any means. Lots of learning curve needed.

Even more Insanity

This is her progress.

And it seems that it really is possible to wrap your mind around a big quilt with ½" hexagons when preparation is as easy as it is with Inklingo.

Shabby Chic Double Wedding Ring

Cathi is making a small table runner using the new Double Wedding Ring collection and has, so far, got two rings joined.

Double Wedding Ring

Bruce made a great start on his Double Wedding Ring project. He writes :

The fabrics are from the Riviera Collection from Connecting Threads. I am stitchin the DWR together by hand. It is so easy and comes together like a dream.
Linda has taken all the hard work out of it for us. The curves are so smooth and gradual that it is like stitching straight lines.

More Insanity

Bruce is also making the Insanity-quilt, so here it is, in much brighter colours :-)

He writes :

I have all the centre diamonds on mine done, and am putting them together at this point. What started out as an addiction has now become an obsession. I know why it is called insanity at this point LOL.

Insanity progresses further

Deanna shared the first parts of her Insanity quilt here. Now the project has progressed enough for her to begin to put on the borders.

Made with hexagons that are a ½" to a side (the 0.50" collection).

Twinkle, twinkle little star

Karan made this wonderful little quilt, she writes :

My first Inklingo project, a doll quilt top, is inspired by an antique doll quilt in the book "Childhood Treasures" by Merikay Waldvogel. The photo of the quilt is on page 32 of the book.

I hand pieced the LeMoyne Star blocks, using Linda's 4 1/2" free collection. They were a lot of fun to stitch, and went together perfectly.
Size approximately 18 * 27".

Mary made this stunning batik version of a Drunkard's Path using (surprise !) the Drunkard's Path collection.

Size of quilt is 36 * 45"

Round Hexagon bag

Elly made this great little bag. She writes :
The pattern was from the book "21 terrific patchwork bags" by Susan Briscoe. I made it using Inklingo shape collection 1, using the 1" hexagon + halves and diamond. It turned out slightly bigger than the pattern in the book since the hexes in that are 7/8" size... but that was okay since it gave a bigger bag :) It was quite easy to adjust.

The finished size of my bag is 8.5" in diameter. I used a suitable sized plate to make the circle background.. (bear in mind you need 1/2" seam allowance all round) and appliqued the Inklingo panels to it. The pattern says to hand quilt but I was in a hurry so machine quilted (it will be stronger for it too).

Going quietly dotty

Tilde made these two placemats using the Drunkard's Path collection. She writes.

It is amazing to me to see how much difference an appliqueed circle makes to the graphic impression of the DP-block. I used the 1.5" circle that comes with both the 0.5" hexagon and the 0.5" diamond collection.

Size of each placemat is approximately 12 * 18"

Snowy Windows at Night

Cathi made this mini quilt using the Drunkard's Path collection.

It was made for a blog swap of mini monochromatic quilts. The only thing added was some half-inch sashing to make the window panes. It finishes at approximately 18.5" square.

Butterfly Stars

Cathi made this baby quilt using Collection 1.

It is approximately 26 x 34 inches.
Shapes used are the 1" diamond, other half 1" hexagons, the 2" hexagon with the butterfly pattern, other half and house half 2" hexagons.

It is my own pattern.

Jane Austen Wallhanging

Tilde made this little wall-hanging using the Jane Austen Patchwork collection, a quilt pink charm pack (from a few years back) and 2 F/4s.

It's her own original pattern and she shares it with the members of the Inklingo Yahoo-list.

I made longer handles and added a tie to close though. It was fun!! It was also the first purse I have ever made!

Jane Austen coaster

Tilde made this little coaster using shapes from the Jane Austen collection.
She writes :
You can make other things than "just" a big quilt with this collection.
Size of one side is just shy of 3", and it is big enough for a nice mug of tea.
Please note the wildlife fabric. I couldn't resist using the romantic colours and then zebra stripes and alligator leather :-)

Kimono Garden

Rebecca designed and made this wallhanging as a fundraiser. You can read more about it on her own blog.

Size of project is approximately 40 * 42" and the hexagons used are from collection # 1 and finish at 1".

Hybrid-pieced star

Martha made this one using the 6" LeMoyne Star collection. She writes :

Stayed up past my bedtime and finished this block from the six inch Inklingo collection. It finishes at 12 inches and is machine and hand pieced.
I machine pieced the center until I came to the light green pieces in the outer ring of diamonds and then I found it easier to do the y-seams by hand.

Triangles wall-hanging

Teresa made this cute raspberry and chocolate (white, AND dark) -coloured quilt.

She writes :
This quilt is made with Collection 2 using 2" HST. I added a 3" border. The squares are set 8 X 9 so the finished size is 22" X 24". I made it for a raffle prize for a function at our quilt guild.

It was easy to put together, thanks to Inklingo, but hard to give away. I must make another for myself.

Apple Core Messenger Bag

Tilde made this messenger-bag using the Apple Core collection for the centre panels on both the bag and the flap.

An Inklingo Dog

Val made this cute dog, she writes :

It was made with the 1 inch squares from the swap that we did awhile ago. (on the Inklingo-list on Yahoo)

The inspiration for this came from the Scrap Quilts issue from McCalls.  Theirs was much larger.

He is coloured squares on both sides but the neutrals form the gusset to make him 3D. Very cute and made in about 3 hours mostly on the machine.

Octagon Star

Cathi made this block using the 6" LeMoyne Star collection.

The octagon star finishes at 12". Shapes used are the diamonds, small squares and 2.5" QST's contained in that collection.

Circle of Swallows

Sandy made this great block. She writes :
I used the free collection to make this "Circle of swallows" block, it is 11" unfinished.

Round Dance

Tilde made this "Round Dance" block. It is based on the general idea of the Square Dance block.
She writes :
I used the corner unit from the Apple Core collection, for the individual bits. The downside of this is, that you get twice as many as you need, because you can only use one corner for the block. The upside is, that you can make two mirror-image blocks at the same time.

St. Patricks Day

SallieJean made this cute St. Pat's block applique'ing the hexagon shapes to the background fabric.

She writes : I used the 1.5" hexagon from Shape Collection #3. The background measures 12.5" and the hexagon piece measures 9.5" top to bottom and 10" side to side at the widest areas.

Medallion Crib Quilt

Linda made this pretty crib-quilt. Here's what she writes :

I used Shape Collection 2 for the pinwheels. The free LeMoyne Star for the corners and other methods for the rest, though I think all the other piecing could have been done with Shape Collection 2, I just hadn't purchased it yet.

Size is 41" square.

Grandmother's Starry Flower Garden

Charlsey made this starry top.

She writes: "The hexagon quilt was hand pieced using Inklingo collection #3 - 3/4" hexagons. There are over 2,900 hexagons forming an 8-pointed star. It is a replica of an 1860 quilt. I made the quilt using a 2-1/2 x 3 picture from an antique quilting book. It will have an applique border like the original."

Whirling Arches

Erin made this Christmas table-topper with the free collection of LeMoyne stars.

Hexagon bag

Ligia made this cute bag, inspired by a pattern from the book pictured below.

The 1.5" hexagons from Collection 3 were used. The bag measures approximately 10" x 5.8".

A hexagon hexagon quilt top

Cathi is working on this hexagon quilt made of hexagons and equilateral triangles from Collection 1.

Shapes used are the 1" hexagon and equilateral triangle found in Collection 1.

New rounds are added periodically as I find new colours that work. Continuous stitching as a new round is added makes this very enjoyable and quick to put together.

Snack Quilt - Cherries and Chocolate

Sue is working on this quilt, made with a pattern from Linda Franz, the Snack Quilt.

She writes :

The strips were all sewn together by machine and all of the strips are joined by handpiecing.
