Deanna is making this quilt (and there's another picture of the complete quilt here). She writes :
This quilt is called "Insanity" (probably for good reason because there are 10,339 hexagons in it). I got it from the Australian Patchwork and Quilting, Vol 16 no 6.
It is designed by Rhonda Pearce and won 1st price at the NSW quilters guild in 2007.
I am using the 1/2" hexagons from Inklingo Collection .50" hexagons, rather than doing it with English Paper Piecing.
Size of the quilt - once it is finished - will be 79" x 86"

Oh. My. Gosh. I think this would take me a lifetime to complete. Good luck! Can't wait to see your progress.
Is it possible to buy a copy of this pattern? I would also like to make it. I have contacted Australian Patchwork and Rhonda Pearce with no luck. Do you know somewhere else that they sell it?
You can find this pattern on Facebook. Rhonda Pearce has a group page called The Insanity Quilt. Well, I'm not sure if the "The" is there or not! Anyway, people show the Insanity quilts they're working on in a wide variety of types of fabric, colors and border variations. It's inspiring.
