Circle of Swallows quilt

Jeannette from South Australia made this great quilt with the Circle of Swallows block.

She writes :

here is a picture of my latest quilt. It is made with the free Lemoyne Star and 3" hst's from Collection 2.

I hand pieced the blocks and joined them together with my machine.
The white background is stipple quilted and the border is a geometric design formed from the shape of the triangles.
It is machine quilted.
The quilt measures 41"x51" and the blocks are 10"x10" finished. .

Pilamaya

Mary Ellen made this wonderful wall-hanging, using the Free Collection. She writes :

I finished a 25" square wall-hanging this morning. I hand pieced and hand quilted the diamonds from the Free Collection, and used the four sacred colours of the Lakota tribes : white, black, red and yellow.

I'm calling it "Pilamaya" which means "thank you" in Lakota.

Pilamaya will be sent to the tour guide who recently accompanied a group of senior citizens to some of the western US states.











... all I can say is "Lucky Tour guide" :-)

LeMoyne star quilt

... with an Apple Core border. How cool is that :-)

I used the free Lemoyne star and put 12 redwork flower blocks among the stars.When Linda brought out the apple core block I knew it was perfect for the border.

It is hand pieced and machine quilted and measures 60"x46"

LeMoyne star quilt

Mary Anne made this pretty quilt using the free collection of 4.5" (finished) LeMoyne stars. She writes

Linda is a great friend and when she gave me the LeMoyne Star collection I was going to make a few to see if I could do it. I think she gave it to me as she figured if I could download it anyone could. (LOL) I was so pleased with myself that I actually did it all by myself. I was going to make a few, but it turned into a quilt for my Granddaughter.

It is 8 squares in both directions with 1/2 inch sashing between. 64 squares in all and I used cornerstones all from the fat quarters that I had used in the quilt. It is about 30 inches square, (my granddaughter has it and loves it so I can't say for sure). I didn't do anything very hard and it went together so easily. I love it.

Lone Star top

Tilde made this Lone Star top using the 6" LeMoyne Star collection.

She writes :
I apologize for not posting a picture that is taken front up, but our house is old, and the rooms small. It is all machine pieced ! and it took 2 weeks, from the picking of fabrics to the finished top.

Size of star, from tip to tip, is 84".

Spring Star baby-quilt

Anneke made this cute baby-quilt.

She writes :
I used the free LeMoyne Star collection to make Judy Martin's Spring Star pattern. (Available on 'Judy Martin's Stars and Sets' cd by Electric Quilt.) If you make the block size 25.5" the Inklingo star pieces fit.
I pieced the star by hand and did the rest on the machine, andI foundation pieced the tulips (a first for me).

This experiment is my fourth finished top and will be my second finished quilt. Somehow my non-Inklingo projects did not get finished so far. I wonder why ;-)?

Finished size will be 33.5" by 59" or 85 by 150 cms.

Star Coasters

Chris made these coasters as her first Inklingo project.

She used the free collection and made a set of 4 coasters. Each coaster finishes at approximately 5"

Pia's Tiny Tote

Pia made a Tiny Tote using the free collection and the free tote pattern.

She writes that her 13 year old daughter would like to have it, but that she is keeping it for herself.

Twinkle, twinkle little star

Karan made this wonderful little quilt, she writes :

My first Inklingo project, a doll quilt top, is inspired by an antique doll quilt in the book "Childhood Treasures" by Merikay Waldvogel. The photo of the quilt is on page 32 of the book.

I hand pieced the LeMoyne Star blocks, using Linda's 4 1/2" free collection. They were a lot of fun to stitch, and went together perfectly.
Size approximately 18 * 27".

Hybrid-pieced star

Martha made this one using the 6" LeMoyne Star collection. She writes :

Stayed up past my bedtime and finished this block from the six inch Inklingo collection. It finishes at 12 inches and is machine and hand pieced.
I machine pieced the center until I came to the light green pieces in the outer ring of diamonds and then I found it easier to do the y-seams by hand.

Octagon Star

Cathi made this block using the 6" LeMoyne Star collection.

The octagon star finishes at 12". Shapes used are the diamonds, small squares and 2.5" QST's contained in that collection.

Circle of Swallows

Sandy made this great block. She writes :
I used the free collection to make this "Circle of swallows" block, it is 11" unfinished.

Medallion Crib Quilt

Linda made this pretty crib-quilt. Here's what she writes :

I used Shape Collection 2 for the pinwheels. The free LeMoyne Star for the corners and other methods for the rest, though I think all the other piecing could have been done with Shape Collection 2, I just hadn't purchased it yet.

Size is 41" square.

Snowflakes and stars

Martha made these 5 Snowflakes and one Lone Star block, using the free collection.

The blocks finish at 9" square.
